Do you know if you are going to heaven?
Every soul will ultimately go to one of two destinations: heaven or hell. To get to the right place, you must get on the right road. “Enter ye in at the strait gate,” Jesus said, “for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
Are you on the broad and comfortable way to hell or on the narrow way to heaven? Jesus Christ Himself is “the gate” and “the way.” No one can get to heaven except by Him. The Bible tells us how to get on His way.
1. Repent of Your Sins
Jesus says, “except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Repentance means a radical change of heart: turning away from the world and turning toward God.
2. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ
Belief in the Lord Jesus Christ means believing that He is the son of God who died on the cross for your sins and paid the price of heaven for you; you need only to trust in Him. “Verily, verily, I say unto you,” Jesus Christ said, “He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.”
3. Be Baptized
If you are willing to repent and believe the good news of the Gospel, purpose in your heart to seek a Christian fellowship where you can be baptized as an outward and visible expression of what you have decided in your heart.
Are you willing to give your heart to Jesus Christ? It’s a narrow road, but God will give you grace here, and heaven hereafter. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Will you call on Him today?
